Professional background

Mr. Valentin Mircea has a long experience in the Business Law assistance with large international consultancies, such as KPMG or Sinclair Roche & Temperley, as well as an experience of almost 5 years in the Public Administration, as Board Member – from 2009 – and Vice-President of the Romanian Competition Authority – from 2011.

He recently finalized a PhD in Competition Law at the University of Bucharest and enjoys wide appreciation as an expert in the Competition Law. He is also an expert in areas like Comunications Law, Pharmaceutical Law and Energy Law.

Between 2010 and 2011, Mr. Valentin Mircea headed the group of specialists who drafted the significant amendments and supplements to the Romanian Competition Law and its secondary legislation, adopted in these years. Also, between 2011 and 2012, Mr. Mircea was implicated in the drafting of the new Competition Law of the Republic of Moldova.
